Tony Minert, CPA

Founder & Owner

                                                      Graduated with a B.S in Accounting from Oral Roberts University in 1992.

                                                                CPA Aug 1994.

  • He spent ten years in telecommunications in Tulsa, while doing tax returns for his family & friends on the side. He started Minert & Associates with his first tax season in Jan 2002 out of his house.  As the business grew, he hired a team of staff until we became a full-service tax and accounting firm.

  • In 2004 Tony began his passion project of using his expertise to serve pastors, missionaries, and humanitarians.   We currently prepare over 400 tax returns for US Citizens living & working abroad. 

  • He moved to Oklahoma in 1988 to attend ORU.  He married his wife Stephanie in 1997.  They became parents to their daughter Jessica in March 2005, in the middle of tax season!

Shadrack Koech, CPA

Senior Business Tax Preparer/Accountant

                                                        Graduated with a B.S. in Accounting from Oral Roberts University in May 2012.                                                                              CPA Feb 2017. Graduated with MBA from ORU in Dec 2018.

  • Started as an intern at Minert & Associates in Jan 2011 and was hired full-time in May 2012.  Currently, he is the Senior Tax Preparer & Accountant for business & non-profit tax returns, which he’s been doing since 2013.

  • Shadrack was born in Kenya and is the 5th child of 7.  He came to the US in 2008 on a Cross Country & Track Scholarship to ORU. Married his wife Christine in Dec 2021 in Kenya.  They became parents to their son Ethan in March 2023 also in the middle of tax season!  He is a diehard Oklahoma City Thunder, Dallas Cowboys & Arsenal FC fan. 

  • While working at Minert & Associates, he discovered his life’s purpose: “to help the less fortunate attain the necessary education to succeed in life.” 

“I was the first in my family to graduate college. My six siblings have all since graduated from either a 2 or 4-year college.  Numerous cousins & extended family have graduated or are attending universities and junior colleges in Kenya.”  - Shadrack


Rebecca Jeffery, EA

Senior Individual Tax Preparer/Accountant

                                                        Graduated with a B.A. in Business & Accounting from Northeastern State University                                                                    in May 2014. Enrolled Agent April 2017.

  • Prior to coming to Minert & Associates, she had over 15 years’ experience with a major tax firm.  She returned to college at age 47 and was the student reviewer of her group at VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance). 

  • She started working at Minert & Associates in Nov 2014.  Currently, she’s the Senior tax preparer for Individual tax returns and Trusts.

  • She moved to Oklahoma in High School and married Charles in 1981 when they were teenagers.  Their daughter was born in Dec 1983 and son in March of 1987.  They have nine grandchildren who live nearby, and one grandson-in-law.

Ana Apolo 

Senior Overseas Tax Preparer/Accountant

                                                       Graduated with a B.S. in Accounting from Oral Roberts University in Dec 2018 and an                                                                     MBA from ORU Dec 2019. 

  • She started as an intern at Minert & Associates in Jan 2018 with a focus on preparing personal tax returns for US citizens living abroad.  She was hired full-time in Jan 2020 and helped our company update many of our administrative processes. Currently, Ana is the Senior Overseas Tax Preparer & Accountant. 

  • She was born in Ecuador, and came to the US in Aug 2014 where she first attended Victory Bible College before transferring to ORU.  Her Dad owns a tax & accounting firm in Ecuador.   

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue to apply my knowledge and skills to help US Citizens who live abroad with their taxes.  This is a specialized field that requires specialized training.  I hope to one day build my own company to serve this clientele.” – Ana


Brandi Fuqua

Tax Preparer/Accountant/Payroll

                                                     Graduated with a B.A. in Business Administration from Oklahoma State University in                                                                      May 2018. Currently pursuing her accounting degree. 

  • She started working part-time at Minert & Associates in Oct 2020 training to complete individual tax returns.  Very quickly, it changed to working full time as a Tax Preparer, Accountant, and Office Administrator.  Currently, she’s in charge of payroll, quarter payroll tax returns, accounting and individual tax return preparation and serves as a proctor/trainer to interns and new hires. At M&A we refer to Brandi as our utility player. 

  • She was born and raised in Oklahoma. She married her husband Tyson in 2013. They both grew up in small towns. They were blessed with two boys Tyner & Brycen who attend Kiefer Elementary.  Her husband Tyson has been a Police Officer since 2010. 

“I returned to work in 2020, after a 4-year stint home with my boys, while my husband was finishing his college education.  Re-entering the workforce was both exhilarating and a juggling act.  I appreciate the opportunity to work in my field, gain experience, while also being available to my family.” - Brandi


Christa Jones

Individual Tax Preparer/Accountant

                                                       Graduated with a B.A. in Business Administration from University of                                                                                                 Oklahoma in 1993 and an MBA from Brigham Young University in 1995. 

  • She first worked with Tony Minert in telecommunications for eight years in the 90’s.  She then worked part-time at Minert & Associates since 2003 doing tax returns & bookkeeping.  Currently, she prepares individual tax returns and assists in training interns or new hires on individual tax return preparation. 

  • She married Logan in 1998. They have a daughter, born in 2002, currently attending Brigham Young University & married in 2023.  Their son was born in 2011.

Patricia Sue Bradley

Individual Tax Preparer/Accountant

                                                         Graduated with a B.S. in Accounting from Northeastern State University in May 1981.                                                                  Obtained Enrolled Agent license in Aug 2002. 

  • Started working with Minert & Associates in Dec 2023 in accounting and preparing individual tax returns.  She came with 7 years’ experience in tax and 14 years in accounting. Her accounting experience includes keeping a full set of books, to staff accounting, to an Accounting Specialist, AP. Her tax experience includes 3 ½ years as a Tax Manager.

  • Sue was born & raised in Oklahoma.  She married her husband Stephen in 1981.  They have 3 children and 5 grandchildren together.  She enjoys sewing, crocheting, church, spending time with her family & grandkids.

Stephanie Minert

Office Manager/Supervisor

                                                       Graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Tulsa in 1996.


  • She started as a temporary employee at Minert & Associates in Oct 2017.  She was then hired part-time in Jan 2018 as a Wellness Coordinator & Employee Advocate.  Her critical thinking skills, which she developed as a nurse, surprisingly carried over into the everyday running of the business.  Currently, she operates as Office Manager/Supervisor and is involved with updating the administrative department.   

  • She is married to Tony, owner of Minert & Associates, since 1997.  She worked as a nurse on & off from 1996 – 2016, and when not working, was a stay-at-home mom to their daughter, Jessica, born in 2005.

Brittany Carrera

Office Coordinator

                                                          Graduated with a B.S. in Business Management from Oral Roberts University in                                                                              Dec 2022 and an MBA from ORU Dec 2023.

  • She’s been working as an intern as an Administrative Assistant at Minert & Associates while in college since Aug 2019 and also works part time during summers & school breaks. 

  • She’s been hired as the Office Coordinator in Jan 2023 while completing graduate school. In January 2024 she will also become an Office Manager in Training/Assistant. 

  • She was born in Ecuador and came to the US in Aug 2017 where she first attended Victory Bible College before going to ORU. Her plans are to stay in the US and continue her work development at Minert & Associates.

Cyrus Johnson

Office Administrator

                                                      Cyrus graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in                                                                                     Entrepreneurship from Oral Roberts University in May 2022.

  • Cyrus started working at M&A as a Business Administrative Consultant in April 2023 and became our Business Administrator in July 2023.

  • His responsibilities include assisting in the updating of our administrative department, such as our website, portal, admin tax return processes...etc.

  • He met his wife, Ashlynn, at ORU and they married Oct 2023. He enjoys traveling & game/movie nights with friends. Cyrus also enjoys working on his two businesses Johnson & Scott and Okie Gutters & Exterior Cleaning

Dolores Knauss 

Office Receptionist

                                                   Born in California. Mother of Tony, Owner of Minert & Associates, and his                                                                                        sister Tracey. Working part time at M&A since the very early days. 

  • She was hired full-time during tax season and every Friday year-round since Jan 2015.  Although, she often works full time during the summers & holidays as well.  She assists the administrative team, the tax & accounting team, and functions as our stay at the office grandma.   

  • She moved to Oklahoma in 1999 to live close to her kids.  She retired as a Sergeant at the Tulsa County Jail in Dec 2014.  When her kids were young, she was a stay-at-home mom & worked at a Hallmark store to support her Hallmark habit with the 30% off employee discount. When her kids were older, she returned to the work force and baked a birthday cake every year, for every co-worker she’s ever worked with since 1988.

Working at Minert & Associates enables me to exercise my brain & helps to support my Hobby Lobby, gardening, Christmas, and granddaughter budget.
